Michael (Twin) Harris

Michael (Twin) Harris is a Richmond, VA native with a heart rooted in rhythm, soul, and storytelling. From humble beginnings copying their older brothers dance moves with his twin brother to performing on the legendary Apollo Theater stage, Michael's journey is one of perseverance, passion, and purpose.

Raised in a musically rich household, Michael was surrounded by the sounds of legends like Mahalia Jackson, Marvin Gaye, and Teddy Pendergrass. Music wasn’t just in the air—it was in his blood. Alongside his twin, Mitchell, he began dancing and singing at a young age, later forming groups like “Too Much” and the fan-favorite dance crew TMB (Them My Boys).

After losing both parents before graduating high school, Michael leaned into his faith, family, and art. His sister Terrish played a pivotal role in ensuring he stayed on track. Despite serving 26 years in the military, his passion for music never faded, and at times was called upon to sing The National Anthem at promotion ceremonies and other occasions. While stationed in Pittsburgh, PA, he met and became good friends with Keith Brown and Martin Johnson and later formed the group “The Distinguished Gentlemen.” With encouragement from loved ones—especially his wife of 25 years, Jermall—he made the bold decision to pursue music full-time after retirement.

He stepped into the music world with his debut album, Just The Beginning, released on February 28, 2025. The album is a powerful reflection of his life journey – filled with resilience, love, purpose and fun. The support from his wife has been so instrumental that she has created several line dances to his songs so be on the lookout.  Sippin & Steppin, released on June 27, 2025 provides a more smooth, southern soul type vibe that you can dance to and enjoy all day long.

Michael is also the proud founder and owner of Harmoniq Entertainment, LLC, established on May 12, 2025, a label and platform dedicated to uplifting soulful, authentic music and supporting independent artists with purpose.

His style blends soulful vocals with heartfelt lyrics, often inspired by his own life experiences. Whether he’s performing at local venues or writing songs that heal, Michael continues to inspire others to chase their dreams—no matter the timing.

Guided by the belief that “Nothing beats a failure but a try,” Michael is using his voice to inspire others, sharing stories of perseverance, love, and purpose through soul-stirring vocals and poetic songwriting. His music is more than entertainment—it’s a testimony.
